A Rich and Powerful Inheritance

Now that the presidential election is over, a number of people applied for and are hoping to be selected for a presidential appointment. But when it comes to God, we don’t have to apply for a place in His kingdom. If you are a child of God, God has elected you! No application necessary, only an already available dispensation of His grace. Christ chose you before you were born and accepted you. We are not acceptable to God in ourselves, but He makes us acceptable in Christ. Even when we do things that are totally against God, He is waiting for us to repent and to receive us back home. God is rich in mercy and will give us another chance. God loves us, sacrificed for us and adopted us. As His children, we have a wealth of blessings (see Ephesians 1:1-17).

In choosing His followers, God doesn’t follow the norm (see 1 Corinthians 1:27-29). He goes beyond our thinking. He does things the way He wants them done because He is sovereign. There are no laws or rules that can control what He does. In using the unexpected, God gets the glory! (more…)

Get the keys to receiving God’s blessings

Notes: One of the things God wants us to do is to humble ourselves. God has put the Blessing Plan on us. He has a purpose and a way, and He wants to bless His children and see us on high, but the plan is on us. You must meet the requirements that He has for us. Many times we want to do things our way. The key to receiving the blessing is to follow His plan, and remembering all of God’s promises are based on conditions.

If you expect God to be a blessing to you, you will have to get over yourself. You can overcome the devil if you can overcome yourself. Paul had to humble himself so that he can allow the Spirit of God to have free course. Stop blaming others for your lack of progress and take a good look at yourself. You are your biggest hindrance. Tell yourself – I am coming out of this situation, scenario, issue – just like the Prodigal Son, who came to himself while in a hog pen. We would like to be the greatest, but we have to realize that whatever we do and accomplish we can’t do it without God. We need Him to pick us up.
