A Spiritual Promotion

75th Psalm, entire division
Promotions only come from God. God will promote you if you live right. It’s good to let God know how much you appreciate what He’s already done for you.
We also must understand that it is not about self-promotion, but that promotion is for the work of God. Everyone will not praise you for your accomplishments, but you must keep you eyes on God. You’re not being promoted by people, but by God. Therefore, no one can stop God from promoting you.
You might not see your promotion right now, but believe that it is on the way if you hold on!
We are in for a big promotion when Jesus comes back to rapture His church. We are constantly in the process of spiritual promotion. Everyday, we want to closer to and stronger in God. The enemy doesn’t want to see your spiritual promotion. But if we trust in Him, He will use the downfalls the enemy caused to build you up. We must continue to do the Lord’s will regardless of trials. You won’t always be in a trial. Stay faithful to God, He will reward the righteous!
Everything that looks bad, isn’t bad. It is working for your good. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
The promotion that you’re in for is not temporary, it is for eternity! So, we should praise the name of Jesus. He knows how to bring you up and how to deliver you!
We don’t need to try to promote ourselves. (Luke 14:11) Pride is empty and arrogance is foolish. God can make something out of us. Don’t be filled with pride, be filled with praise!
God’s will for our lives is what really matters. We should put our trust in Him. Seek The Lord for direction.
The devil wanted everything Job had. God told Him he could try, but Job stayed faithful to God and God gave Job a great promotion, giving him double what he lost. If you want to be promoted, you have to go through things. But know while you’re going through that you can’t fail when God is in charge!

Every child of God ought to have a goal

Scripture: Philippians 3:7-14

Notes: Every child of God has a goal and we should work towards eternity with Jesus, but we need to bear in mind that there is an opposition and we will need to fight to attain our goal. Every time you turn around it seems like something is going on and it can bring you discouragement. Even David said his feet almost slipped looking at the prosperity of others. Some folks running fast, slow and not at all and it’s up to us to decide where we fit. Are you running at half speed?

Pressing toward the mark… Apostle Paul decided to put those things behind to move forward. He set an example and admonished us to get past the things that are hindering us and to press toward the mark. This life takes a press, a fight, and when we get to a point where it looks like we’re not going to get there we need to keep fighting. (more…)

Set your sight on eternal life, Bishop preaches

“Out of all your prioritizing, only what you do for Christ will last. Why spend all your time trying to reach some secular goal and lose out on eternity. Set your priorities and make this — eternal life — your highest goal,” Bishop taught during Sunday morning service.

Whatever your desire might be always put God first. If you put Him first He will lead and guide you into all things. He has you in His interest. That’s why the Word says seek the kingdom of the Lord and all these things will be added unto you. Our main interest in life should be leading a life before God. Going to heaven is the goal. However, to meet any goal you have to prioritize your life.

David said he hid the word in his heart that He might not sin, and he kept the Lord before Him. If you want to see Jesus, then you need to do the same. To walk with the Lord is to walk in His word. If you want to go to heaven you have to have the mindset that will take you to heaven. You have to be committed to God. First, your priority has to be your commitment to God. You must follow His direction, walk in the light of His word, maintain faith in and fellowship with Him. Sometimes you don’t see Him, but you have to have confidence that He will take you through.

In walking with God, you have to step out on faith and move according to His will. Make up in your mind that you won’t turn back on Him. Make your priority eternal life and fighting the good fight of faith. Otherwise, it’s a danger NOT to walk with God, and to draw back from Him. Despite your troubles and struggles don’t turn away. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him (Hebrews 10:38). (more…)
