Bishop Hannah: The promise, power in His name

Bishop Michael D. Hannah, Sr., of Life Celebration Center, Baltimore, Md., was our guest speaker at the Sunday afternoon service, and shared these words of wisdom with us:

All the devil can steal is a moment, the question is what are you going to do with this moment. One thing you could say is “I’m going to take this moment and give it to the Lord.” God gave you this moment. It’s a gift, take it back and give it back to Him.

To whom much is given, much is required. If He has given me a bunch of whole moments then… Enter into His courts with thanksgiving. The power of the promise being in the name. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Gal. 3:29).

You had some struggles when He saved you but you believed in the promise. Anyone who gives their life to God is now a part of the promise. And when God makes a promise He delivers. The Hebrew boys knew this, and went into the fire with a praise.

The devil can change your name, but not your destiny. They believed in the promise of God. And He showed up. The promise is Yahweh, and the name that is above every name is Jesus.
